Hi, I am currently running some 12c R2 databases, and they have been patched to the latest 12c patches CPUJan2022 (33561275, 33587128). However, I need to commission a new server, as the current one is past its end-of-life. After I install 12c on the new server and migrate the databases, I have a couple of questions about patching.

1) After I install the patches on the new ORACLE_HOME (opatch apply), what do I need to do with the databases? Since they were already patched on the old server, do I need to run datapatch on them again?
2) Is there any way to check if the binary registry and SQL registry match?

Thanks.

I would always run datapatch. It will do anything needed, and if there is nothing to do, it will do nothing. You can trust Uncle Oracle.
